SSYRA and SSYRA, Jr.

The purpose of the SSYRA Program is to encourage students to read independently for pleasure.

Students will earn charms for books read and tested on with 70% accuracy. The more books read from the list, the more rewards available. See below.

Student Reward Levels:

Decorate a “3” to display in SSYRA window.

You can VOTE for favorite SSYRA book.

You will be invited to join the SSYRA BOOK CLUB.

You earn the opportunity to test to be part of the Battle of the Books Team.

(Top 5 scores will make the team)

Decorate a “10” to display in SSYRA window.

You will be an invited to the SSYRA End-of-Year Book Celebration!

Decorate a “15” to display in SSYRA window.

You will be an invited to the SSYRA End-of-Year Book Celebration... AND you can bring a friend!*

*Your friend must have read at least 3 SSYRA books, too!

VPK-2nd Grade classroom teachers will read aloud these titles to their class. However, 2nd graders are responsible for independently reading the beginning chapter books and will earn charms for books read and tested on with 70% accuracy. The more books read from the list, the more rewards available. See below.
