Art Club Mission: To encourage students who are passionate about visual arts to experience different media and art styles.

  • A blue circle with a white music note symbol, surrounded by a green square with the text 'MUSIC MAKERS' below. We all love a good show or movie, right? Well, the music makers work together to put on shows that are completely student driven! We have performed musicals like The Lion King and Peter Pan. We've done concerts with instruments and a chorus. Music makers is a place for every student to find their creative home, whether it's playing a drum, dancing, singing, or creating sets, costumes and props. Music Makers are all third, fourth, and fifth graders who make a commitment to being in rehearsals once a week. Each year we find new adventures to create on stage.

Athletics

  • A blue running shoe icon in a circle with the text 'Running Club' below.Running club is a fall sport that meets every Monday and Thursday beginning in the fall to prepare our athletes for the elementary cross country season. We start off with K-2 on Monday and 3-5 on Thursday in the beginning due to large numbers. We join together beginning in October for the end of the season.
All students that want to join are eligible, provided they are willing to make an effort to run a mile and participate in local meets. To qualify for championships, they must run a mile, in a competitive race, under 12 minutes. Mill Creek won the girls and boys county championship in 2018.

  • A gold trophy icon on a red circle with the word 'TRACK' below it.Track is a spring sport that meets every Monday and Thursday beginning in mid February. We do tryouts during PE classes for those interested. Only students that show exceptional effort compared to other students, comparable scores toward the championship standards, and display exemplary sportsmanship will be invited. This is small group of no more than 12-15 of each gender. These students will work hard every practice, and will be expected to attend meets. Mill Creek boys won the county championship 3 straight years from 2017-2019. The Mill Creek girls won the county championship in 2018.

Social

Fifth Graders

  • A blue circle with a gray shield and two green alligators holding a green banner that reads 'SAFETY PATROL'.The Safety Patrol is a select group of Fifth Graders who are committed to providing a safe school environment for all students at Mill Creek Elementary. A Safety Patrol member demonstrates the core Gator values of being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. They assist students as they exit cars during arrival time, help students find their way when they are not familiar with the campus, and help teachers and staff at dismissal to ensure that students exit the campus safely.
